So you’ve seen that everybody has a blog these days and you said to yourself “why not me?”
And you have every right to think this way. Until you try you’ll never know maybe it’s your thing, maybe it will make you rich, maybe you’ll be able to quit your day job. Chances are all of these we’ll never happen but you’ll never know until you try.

Now where do you begin ? Well things are in fact very simple in the begining. It will get complicated later but we’ll deal with this at the right time.

First of all you’ll need an address where people can find you and a place to build your new online home.

Getting your own domain is neither complicated nor expensive. But if you’re not sure what this is about or you want some more advice on this check out my i want a domain for a blog article (coming soon).

After you get your domain you’ll need a place to host your blog. If you went for the free domain offered by some online blogging platform you’re already settled with the hosting as well so you can stop reading for now and get back here (be sure to bookmark) when you’ll be ready for the next step – your very own domain and hosting space.

Well you are here so i guess you decided to go all the way. Just like getting your domain the hosting thing is unexpensive but it can be a little more complicated as there are many providers that offer a lot of choises – this might get a little confusing so i wrote a special article on this – i want to host my blog (coming soon). You’ll see there some advice and suggestions to make your life a little easier.

You have now your own domain and a hosting plan. What’s next ? Deploying the blog itself. This part is not very tricky but here it can get a little more complicated. According to the services offered by the hosting provider you have chosen you may have 2 options:
- a manual install of Wordpress (download, create database, upload files, install)
- use an automated instaler that does almost all the job for you

That’s about it. Hope you found this information usefull. I had to publish it like this (multiple articles) so it can be easy to follow and choose what to read and what not to read.

St Peter’s Church in Vatican City, Rome – Italy

So The Pink Ass went to visit the Vatican City. You can see below a little photo gallery with some of the pics I made in the St Peter’s Basilica (church) (yes – the one where the Pope shows up in the balcony).

Maybe you can see it in this pictures but let me tell you anyway – it’s huge. It’s full of gold, marble, paintings and statues. Even the famous Pieta by Michelangelo made in 1499 is in here.

If you ever get to Rome try not to miss this. You will be amased.
